Dialogue at its best includes more than a circle of friends. Everyone will be encouraged to talk with everyone else about the cards they receive at the door with questions about healthy masculinity.

8:45 – 10 pm, Barbershop Conversations, location TBA at the Welcome Reception

The barbershop has long been a trusted place in many communities for men to gather and converse. Join the HMAP national partners for informal, unscripted dialogue about healthy masculinity.

Each of the Action Conversations will focus on strategizing about an audience of men that participants want to engage by determining who they have access to or can gain access to; why they want to engage that audience; what they want to engage the audience in; and how they are going to persuade the audience to become engaged.

All participants will be provided with a Healthy Masculinity Action Guide that will include the following: forming a Healthy Masculinity Working Group in your community; using The Five Ps, a framework for positively engaging men; and hosting a Healthy Masculinity Town Hall.
